AIIMS is conducting the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2026 across the country. This exam facilitates recruitment for various Group B and Group C posts at AIIMS, as well as at several other central government and autonomous health institutions. The CRE 2026 is being held in three shifts on August 31 and September 1 (today). While the exam proceeded as scheduled at most centers nationwide on August 31, it was disrupted by technical issues at two centers—RJ0101 and RJ0102—located at the TCS iON Digital Zone in Sitapura, Jaipur.

A total of 2,000 candidates were registered across these two centers; 1,342 candidates from RJ0101 and 436 from RJ0102 actually appeared for the exam.

**Power Supply Issue Disrupts Exam**
The exam began at 9:00 AM on August 31. During the process, the internal power supply at both centers failed, disrupting the examination. Consequently, to maintain the integrity and fairness of the exam, AIIMS decided to cancel the test at these centers.

**Re-examination Scheduled for September 7**
The exam for candidates registered at these two Jaipur centers will now be held again on September 7, 2026. Arrangements for new exam centers are currently underway. Depending on the number of candidates, the exam may be conducted either simultaneously or in separate batches.

**AIIMS Seeks Report from TCS**
AIIMS has requested a report on the matter from TCS. Additionally, the company has been instructed to preserve system logs, CCTV footage, and records of control room communications. These documents will be used to investigate the cause of the disruption. AIIMS has reiterated its commitment to transparency, fairness, and providing equal opportunities to all candidates throughout the recruitment process.

**Recruitment for Multiple Posts**
It is worth noting that the Examination Section of AIIMS New Delhi has been organizing this exam on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare since 2021. This time, the examination covers several posts, including Junior Administrative Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Personal Assistant, Stenographer, Private Secretary, Assistant Security Officer, Receptionist, Junior Medical Records Officer, Junior Warden, Hostel Warden, Telephone Operator, and Social Security Officer.
