Everton will aim to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when Manchester United travel to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.

David Moyes’s team are seventh in the table after taking one win and one draw from their first two matches. The fixture also carries added significance for Moyes, who was in charge of United between 2013 and 2014 and has since suffered 23 Premier League defeats against his former side — just one short of Harry Redknapp’s competition record of 24 losses against the Red Devils.

Christian Norgaard is still the club’s only confirmed absentee. There are no new fitness issues in the squad ahead of Sunday, although deadline day brought major developments: Iliman Ndiaye completed a reported £65 million move to Manchester City, while Everton’s proposed deal for Folarin Balogun from Monaco fell through after the United States forward withdrew following his medical.

Jack Grealish rejoined the club on a season-long loan from Manchester City on the same day Ndiaye left, and he is expected to start on the left in place of Tyrique George after the winger’s disappointing showing at Bournemouth. Brennan Johnson is likely to take up the creative position vacated by Ndiaye, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who also arrived from Lyon on deadline day, is expected to be named among the substitutes as he is still waiting to make his debut.

Everton possible starting XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Garner, Armstrong; Johnson, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish; Barry

The Premier League fixture is scheduled to kick off at 14:00 on Sunday, 6 September 2026.

The game will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage starting from 1pm.
