After a disappointing 2-1 loss to Bristol City, striker Armando Broja was seen in a video having a heated confrontation with a group of supporters. The incident happened in the car park area after the final whistle, with the 24-year-old forward losing his temper after being subjected to vocal criticism over his display and the team’s current situation.

In footage that later spread widely, the former Chelsea player appeared upset by remarks suggesting he had not delivered since moving to Lancashire. As the argument escalated, Broja was heard defending his record and fitness before the exchange turned X-rated. The striker was filmed responding to one individual by shouting: “Shut your f**** mouth and be respectful.”

Broja, who was signed in August 2025 for a reported fee of £20 million, has struggled to score regularly during his spell at the club. During the confrontation, the forward appeared to respond to comments about his consistency and game time.

Broja struggling to find rhythm at Burnley

Despite his reputation as a Premier League-level talent, Broja was introduced only as a second-half substitute by manager Nicky Hayen in the defeat to Bristol City. He came on for Andreas Hountondji at half-time but was unable to provide the cutting edge needed to finish the game off.

Last season, the forward made 26 appearances in all competitions, although he was handed only eight starts in the top flight. That lack of rhythm has clearly become a source of frustration for both the player and the supporters, leading to the explosive scenes outside the stadium.

The confrontation came after a match Burnley had seemed set to win before a late defensive collapse.
