Morgan Rogers carried on his eye-catching start to life at Chelsea with another major contribution against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.

Just two minutes into the match, the ball broke kindly for the former Aston Villa player and he fired into the bottom corner to give his side the lead.

That means Xabi Alonso's team have now gone ahead within the opening five minutes in each of their Premier League matches so far this season.

In doing so, they became the first team to manage that in three consecutive matches since Newcastle in December 2024, and the first side ever to do it in the opening three matches of a Premier League season.

Summer arrival Rogers, who had also been linked with Arsenal during the transfer window, has now recorded a goal involvement in every league game so far, more than any other summer signing.

For Chelsea, though, the early advantage did not last. Arsenal soon believed they had levelled through Riccardo Calafiori, only for the goal to be disallowed for offside.

Kai Havertz then did bring the Gunners back on terms with an important goal against his former club.
