Nicole Kidman has always been booked and busy, but this year she’s been an especially prominent fixture on our screens—especially since the highly anticipated Practical Magic 2 release is upon us.
Along with her co-star Sandra Bullock, Kidman has been making the press rounds, chatting about everything from the sequel, her career and even her favorite Australian snacks.
The duo made an appearance on Vogue’s Youtube series Off The Cuffwhere the longtime colleagues and friends playfully interviewed each other. Among revelations about other film sequels they’d love to make and their favorite ‘90s fashion trends, Kidman also revealed the Australian snack she wishes they sold in the U.S.
“Tim Tams,” Kidman quickly answered before adding, “but they do!”
The actor is right. Despite being less widely available, the popular Aussie cookie has made its way to the states. Still, we don’t blame Kidman for the shoutout. The treat consists of two biscuits sandwiched with a delectable chocolate cream, all covered in silky chocolate. Sounds like a great pick to us!
Another Australian classic is, of course, Vegemite, which Bullock suggested. After revealing that Bullock shared that she’s never tried the divisive condiment, Kidman was surprised, asking, “Did I never give you vegemite?”
Her co-star quickly joked: “No, you’ve given me nothing but grief.”
Kidman also left us with one more of her favorites—another classic Australian candy called a Polly Waffle. Kidman described it as a candy bar with a marshmallow filling that’s wrapped in a biscuit. We can’t help but agree with Bullock’s response to that delicious description: “I say yes to that.”
With all of these recommendations, Kidman has given us some great picks to put on our wishlists. Plus, these chocolatey morsels would make the perfect addition to any Practical Magic 2 watch party spread.
