Málaga’s board are considering what would be an unexpected move for former Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
The development comes as the La Liga side continue their search for extra firepower in the final third after a difficult return to the top flight of Spanish football for Los Boquerones.
Having picked up only two points from a possible 12 so far, the team coached by Juan Francisco Funes have managed to score just once.
With the transfer window now shut, Málaga’s hierarchy have therefore started exploring the market for possible free-agent additions in attack.
And, as mentioned above, that search has in recent days brought them to the profile of none other than Anthony Martial. According to a report from Spanish transfer insider Matteo Moretto:
“Málaga are considering an offer for Anthony Martial to strengthen their attack. The Frenchman can play as a winger or as a forward.”
For his part, Martial has been available as a free agent since ending his contract with Mexican side Monterrey in June this year.
