New Delhi. Under the Drone Didi scheme, clusters will first be identified to provide drones to women farmers (self-help groups - SHGs). Under this scheme, 14500 women self-help groups (SHGs) across the country will be given drones, using which they will be able to increase their income from farming. The government will give 80 percent subsidy in this. A loan will be given on the remaining 20 percent. In this loan also, a discount of 3 percent interest will be given separately.

According to the ministry, the first work under this scheme will be to identify clusters flying drones, its work will start from next month. The state committee will select 14500 SHGs. Scientists of IARI will be included in this committee. The help of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) across the country will be taken to implement this scheme. The benefit of this scheme will be available from the financial year 2024-25. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is starting the process of the scheme from next month.

This is the plan
