India is home to a vast array of beliefs and rituals related to the environment or surroundings in which we live. Locals in the state of Madhya Pradesh are grabbing donkeys and forcing them to consume this delicious Indian treat, according to a story from Local18.

The Navi people of Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district are celebrating the region’s changing climate by feeding gulab jamuns to donkeys. The states of India are being hit hard by the monsoon, which is causing persistent rain in several places. The district of Mandsaur was an exception to this rule. The people spread some salt around and forced the donkeys to plow a crematorium. They think that by doing this, the region would have excellent rains.

Mandsaur residents informed Local18 that they would offer the donkeys gulab jamuns if this ceremony resulted in the much-needed rain. According to reports, there has been a lot of rain in the area during the last several days. In addition, the meteorological agency has forecasted significant rainfall in the vicinity of the Mandsaur region.

Thus, as part of the festivities in honor of the better weather and circumstances, Mandsaur residents and those from the nearby districts are feeding the donkeys gulab jamun. The internet is going crazy over the footage of the residents feeding the animals. Two donkeys are seen devouring the candy from a large steel plate that is loaded with it in the now-viral video. These are the same donkeys that the locals claim were used to plow the crematorium.

According to sources, Madhya Pradesh is projected to see significant rains in the next few days, prompting the meteorological agency to issue a warning. The state’s eastern and possibly western areas will get the highest rainfall.
