Actor Nivin Pauly has approached the Kerala State Police Chief against the woman who levelled sexual abuse allegations against him. He had earlier said he would file a legal complaint against the woman, who he claims to have never met.

The actor said the complaint filed against him was baseless and requested the authorities to consider his complaint while investigating the allegations. Nivin, in his complaint, added that he will file a detailed complaint once he gets access to the FIR filed against him in connection with the case. He has also alleged conspiracy behind the complaint.

The actor has reportedly received legal advice to pursue action only after receiving the details of the complaint filed against him by the woman. There are speculations that the actor might seek dismissal of the case in the court as evidence is in his favour. The actor is the sixth accused in the case.

Nivin had appeared before the media just hours after the allegations were levelled against him, stating that he would cooperate with any investigation. “The allegation against me is part of a conspiracy. I doubt if it’s an attempt to blackmail me,” he said.

Meanwhile, the woman reiterated that she would go forward with the police complaint. The woman has termed Nivin Pauly’s statement that he did not know her as false.

The complainant alleges that the actor and six other friends raped her for days after drugging her in Dubai in November 2023. She alleged that Nivin Pauly met her via producer A K Sunil who offered her a role in the movie. She alleged that she was asked to appear for an interview where she was assaulted by the producer. He later introduced her to his associates

The complainant alleged that the accused subjected her to brutal physical and mental abuse and threatened to endanger her family. She added that she got the confidence to file a complaint again following the release of the Hema Committee report. “I am ready to cooperate with the police to gather evidence,” she told reporters on Wednesday.
