Many schemes are being run by the Central Government in the interest of the poor. One of them is Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0. The main objective of this scheme of the Central Government is to provide their own pucca house to the economically weaker, lower and middle-income group people.

Under this scheme of the Central Government, the beneficiary is given the benefit of the subsidy. The subsidy is given by the government to the families of the economically weaker section, lower income group, and middle-income group.

EWS beneficiary with annual income up to Rs 3 lakh is given the benefit of interest subsidy. At the same time, people of low-income group families falling within the range of annual income of three to six lakhs are also given interest subsidy. Through this scheme, poor people can fulfill their dream of building their own house.
