It is said that India is a country of diversity, people following different traditions live here. There is a popular saying that describes this. 'Kos-kos par badle paani, chaar kos par vaani'. This saying means that this is a country where the taste of water changes after one kos, while the spoken language changes after four kos. One kos means two miles (about 3.22 kilometers). 

Today we are going to tell you about a village in this country based on traditions, where the tradition is that every man marries twice and all three husbands and wives live together under one roof. On the contrary, it is often seen that two wives cause conflict in the house, in fact, in some places, two marriages are inappropriate. 

But this is not the case in the village we are talking about. In this village, it is considered good to have two marriages. We are talking about the village 'Ramdeyo ki Basti' located amidst the sands in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. We cannot say whether there is a belief or superstition behind this tradition. 

Actually, the people of this village believe that if a man marries only once, he will either have no children or he will have only daughters. In such a situation, people happily marry for the second time to fulfill their desire of having a son. That is, the overall belief is that if there is a second marriage, then it is almost certain that a boy will be born in the house. 

The surprising thing is that where there is usually a fight between two wives, in this village both the wives live happily under the same roof in the same family like sisters. There is no conflict of any kind between the two. 

A report has also claimed that now the new youth of this village prefer to stay away from this tradition. The people of this village do not give much importance to this tradition now. They do not want to have any relation with this custom. Let us tell you that there are many such villages in India where the belief of having children before marriage or staying without clothes for five days in a year is also based on beliefs.
