Jani Master aka Shaik Jani Basha has been put behind bars in Goa after his 21-year-old student alleged that the choreographer sexually harassed her. Jani has been charged with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. Amid the allegations Janis wife Sumalatha aka Ayesha addressed the media and expressed her disbelief. During an interview with TV9 Ayesha claimed that all the allegations against her husband were fake. She said The allegation that the woman was harassed when she was 16 is disgusting. There is no truth in it. If the girl can show evidence I will leave Master. She further suggested that there might be a larger conspiracy at play aimed at damaging his public reputation. Ayesha said I have been married to Master for the last 14 years and we have no children. I know him very well. His nature is not what is being alleged. Speaking about the complainant Ayesha mentioned that she once expressed her gratitude to Jani Master stating she owed her career to him and was thankful for his presence. Ayesha questioned why if there was an issue the complainant hadnt spoken up earlier and was only doing so now. Ayesha mentioned The complainant said in many TV interviews that she owes her career to Master and is grateful to him. How is it that she never complained before? And how is it that after being on her own for the last year she suddenly surfaces to lodge a complaint against him? Meanwhile Jani Master is yet to respond on the matter. According to reports doing rounds on the internet the choreographer has decided to step back from his upcoming film projects. -
