With their batting mastery, Shubman Gill and Pant light up Chepauk. They hold firm at the crease and demolish Bangladesh’s bowling lineup. When Pant was batting and instructed Bangladeshi captain Najmul Hossain Shanto to retain a fielder on the leg side, a humorous situation occurred.
Shanto even followed Pant’s instructions and relocated the fielder to the same spot, which added to the entire incident’s intrigue.
Pant moved to Bangladesh’s captain, requesting him to place a fielder on the legside, which was completely empty, as he was getting ready to take control against the bowler.
