Christmas is undoubtedly an exciting time for many, but would you fast forward the next few months to experience it sooner if you could?

People said they wished the festive period would hurry up in the comments of a recent @thedeardiaries TikTok video, where user Jamie said "Christmas was around the corner", and he was shopping in Home Bargains to see what Christmas stock they had already.

He joked that the staff must think he was "crazy" at the store at 8am shopping for Christmas bits - but in the comments, one woman admitted that she'd already "spent £100 at Home Bargains," and intended to go back for more.

Jamie was thrilled when he noticed that they had the Polar Express pyjamas that he wanted in the store, but issued a "sad update" that the matching pants had been taken off the hanger in his size, so he wasn't able to get them. "I've got plenty of time before Christmas", he said.

"I'm just gonna have to keep coming back," he joked. He then looked at the Christmassy mugs, saying they'd be "perfect for hot chocolates."

"I am such a perfectionist when it comes to wrapping my presents," he admitted, showing off the lovely paper on offer at cheap prices. He then came to the "large Christmas bells that you can put up, or put on your tree, or around your house", and they came in three festive shades – green, red, and white.

There were giant festive glittery lights, striped lollipops which could be used for decorations on the tree, a sled which would make a great "hot chocolate station", a knitted Christmas tree scarf "instead of tinsel" and even disco ball Christmas tree baubles.

In the comments, someone admitted: "I’ve been in home bargains too much the last couple weeks and have spent over £100 on Christmas decorations already…"

Another penned: "Well this has got me excited for Xmas shopping", and one woman wrote: "Yes yes yes!! Went in last week and was so excited to see the Christmas stuff!"

Someone said it was "autumn first" for them, and Jamie replied: "Yes autumn always!! There’s just something so joyous for me about Christmas!! Let's embrace both yayyy".
