MS Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020 but he continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Dhoni hasn't addressed his IPL future yet, recent reports hint that he could play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for another season. Dhoni stepped down from captaincy before IPL 2024 and handed the job to Ruturaj Gaikwad.Dhoni only plays IPL and the fans crave to see him on the field. He hasn't played domestic cricket since 2017. There is a reason why Dhoni cannot take part in the ongoing Legends League or any other league around the globe.
