Indonesia: 4 wounded, 6 dead in road accident

Early on Monday morning, a car crash on a highway in the Indonesian region of Central Java claimed six lives and wounded four more.

A passenger bus and two semi-trailer trucks were involved in the collision, which happened in the province’s Pati district at approximately two in the morning local time, according to a preliminary report from Pati Traffic Police.

Asfauri, the chief of Pati Traffic Police, informed the local media that there were 28 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. The driver and four passengers perished. A truck driver was the other dead person.

According to him, the accident’s cause was being looked into, and the wounded and dead were being sent to neighboring hospitals, as reported by local media and Xinhua news agency.

The nation in Southeast Asia often has fatal traffic accidents as a result of overloading, bad road conditions, and careless driving.
