Sunil Singh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), criticized the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday for holding a second meeting in the jewellers heist case in Sultanpur, claiming that it was done to counterbalance the first one.

Anuj Pratap Singh, the second culprit in the heist of the Sultanpur jewelry shop, was shot and killed by the UP Police on Monday. This event occurs after Mangesh Yadav, another suspect, passed away.

“SP has always raised questions on the encounter processes of Mangesh Yadav and Anuj Pratap Singh,” the SP leader said in an interview with IANS. The accused of a horrible crime is evading arrest by the UP government. However, they are murdering someone they pick up from the home who has committed no crimes at all.”

He also sent his sympathies to Anuj Pratap Singh’s family.

Inquiring further, Yadav questioned the Singh family, who claimed that their son’s murder in an encounter had “fulfilled SP leader Akhilesh Yadav’s goal” and posed the question, “But who killed your son? The Special Task Force and CM Yogi conducted the confrontation. Even after losing your kid, you are unable to expose the killers.”

In addition, he blasted the BJP for allegedly linking the leaders of the Samajwadi Party to criminal activity, claiming that the governing party was incensed about its poor showing in the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections.

“The BJP is deliberately conspiring to defame the party and Akhilesh Yadav by filing fake cases and FIRs against the leaders of the SP and sending them to jail,” he said.

The people have beaten the BJP, he said, “because you have lied to them.”

“You’ve raised unemployment and inflation. Corruption has reached its pinnacle under the BJP. The people should respond because, without funding, no work is being done in the UP. “This is just a procedure to discredit the party if you are plotting against the SP,” he said.
