Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasad says that a semiconductor manufacturing factory will soon be set up in Uttar Pradesh. The state is fully prepared for this.

Union Minister Jitin Prasad said that Uttar Pradesh will be among the few places where semiconductors will be manufactured. He was speaking at the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) summit here.

Addressing the 21st India-US Economic Summit, Jitin Prasad said that India is a favorable place for investment in all sectors including semiconductors. Uttar Pradesh is one of the top states within the country and in the coming times it will be the growth engine of India.

Factory work will start soon

Jitin Prasad said, "We will soon start work on a semiconductor plant in Uttar Pradesh as well. I am confident that the state will be among the few places where there will be a semiconductor factory." According to an agency report, India and America have recently agreed to set up a semiconductor factory in the country. In this regard, this statement of the Union Minister is important.

The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently signed an MoU with the US for chip making. It emphasizes that these technologies will be seen more and more in the daily lives of people in the future and it is necessary that we understand these technologies as soon as possible. He said that semiconductors are very important to achieve the goals of making India a Digital India.

The benefits of technology will reach every village

Jitin Prasad also said that the government is trying to reduce the digital divide in the country. The benefits of technology should reach every village and remote areas of the country. The government is fully focused on this.

He said that cooperation and partnership are important to accelerate semiconductor development, considering this the India-US partnership will have far reaching effects.
