Ingredients for making Ragi Pudding

➤Madua (Ragi) flour – 1 cup
➤Ghee – 3-4 tablespoons
➤Sugar – 1 cup (according to taste)
➤Water – 2 cups
➤Milk – 1/2 cup (optional)
➤Dry fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins)
➤Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

Method

➤To make Ragi Halwa, first heat 3-4 tbsp ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
➤When the ghee is hot, add ragi flour to it and fry it on low flame.
➤Roast the flour until it turns light brown and its aroma starts coming, this process can take 7-8 minutes.
➤Once the flour is roasted properly, slowly add 2 cups of water and 1/2 cup of milk to it. During this time keep stirring it continuously so that lumps do not form.
➤Now add sugar to it and mix well. After this add dry fruits to it and let the halwa cook well.
➤Cook it on medium flame until the halwa starts leaving ghee. Finally add ground cardamom to it and garnish it with dry fruits. Halwa is ready.
