Amitabh Bachchan who is called the superstar of Bollywood and Madhuri Dixit who is a dancing diva have made their own mark in the industry. Both renowned names in the Hindi cinema have achieved recognition and success in the industry because of their tremendous acting skills. Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit has got many opportunities to work together in a film. The pair first had a chance to appear in the film Bandua (1989). However due to some reasons the shooting couldnt start. Also they had an offer for Rituparno Ghoshs film. He wanted to cast Amitabh Bachchan for the role of Satyajit Ray and Madhuri Dixit for the role of Madhabi Mukherjee. But after the Ray family objected the makers the film got shelved. There was a period in Madhuri Dixits career when all her films were failing one after the other. Then Anil Kapoor agreed to work with him when no actor did. The duo have worked in several films including Hifazat Tezaab Ram Lakhan Parinda Kishen Kanhaiya Jamai Raja Beta Khel. Their pairing was considered a superhit and many filmmakers wanted to sign them together. After Madhuris super-hit saga it was said that she was again offered a film opposite Big B. But Anil Kapoor advised her to say no the film as he did not want Madhuris pairing to fit with any other actor. Madhuri listened Anil Kapoors advise. But then came time when Mr India actor started to see a downfall in his career. The actress started avoiding doing films with him and looked for opportunities to work opposite Amitabh Bachchan as he became a superstar by that time. Madhuri got a chance to work with Big B in a film Shinakht (1988) that was directed by Tinu Anand. But during the shooting something happened that made the actor quite angry and he decided that he would never work Madhuri again. Well it was said that Madhuri was showing a lot of arrogance on the sets. She used to suggest a lot of changes in the script that used to irritate Big B a lot. Madhuri felt that her role was weaker than Amitabhs so she left the film halfway. The film got shelved and Amitabh Bachchan swore not to work with her again in any film.
