Leaders of opposition parties are constantly raising questions on the encounter of Akshay Shinde, accused of sexually abusing girls in Badlapur school. Today, Bombay High Court also made a strong comment on such encounters. The court has expressed doubts on the encounter. But on the other hand, some people are justifying the encounter. Sharmila Thackeray, wife of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, has also called this encounter a right of women. During a press conference, Sharmila Thackeray said that he was not a saint, such criminals should be encountered.

Raj Thackeray's wife Sharmila Thackeray also said that being a woman, I felt proud of this encounter. The policemen who shot Akshay Shinde should be appreciated. She said that such encounters should happen to create a sense of security among women.

I am also worried about my daughter

Sharmila Thackeray said that today I met police officer Nilesh More who was injured in the Akshay Shinde encounter. After this, Sharmila Thackeray while talking to the media said that I am not speaking on behalf of any political party or as Raj Thackeray's wife. I am speaking as a common woman. I myself have a daughter. I am also worried about her safety. Sharmila Thackeray said- I am speaking like this as a representative of women.

No sympathy for the culprit

Sharmila Thackeray said that the safety of women is a matter of concern today. Every day we read in the newspaper that violent crimes are committed against women. After rape, they are brutally murdered. What does politics say, what does the opposition say, what does the court say… I have no information about this. Being a woman, I have no sympathy with the person who commits such a crime. The police who carry out encounters should be praised.

need to make laws stricter

On the questions of Akshay Shinde's family, Sharmila Thackeray said- Ujjwal Nikam ji rightly said that the longer the case goes on in the court, the more insecure women feel. In the Delhi Nirbhaya case, the accused were sentenced to death after 6 years. Such a criminal was given the right to live for 6 years. Sharmila Thackeray said that we want such a strong law for women that punishes the culprit quickly.
