'I Used To Call Him Susu... What A Gem Of A Person': Krystle D'Souza Wells Up Talking About Sushant Singh Rajput

New Delhi: TV actor Krystle D'Souza recently opened about her career, how much she owes her success to producer Ekta Kapoor and her experience of working with Sushant Singh Rajput. In an inteaction with Siddharth Kannan, D'Souza shared a time in her career when she was struggling with Hindi and how the ‘Kai Po Che’ actor helped her get better with the language.

Sushant Singh Rajput and Krysle D’Souza were a part of the TV show called ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ which aired on Star Plus from 2008-2010.

Krystle admitted that it was the beginning of her career and she was struggling to grapple with Hindi. Calling Sushant Singh Rajput a ‘gem of a person’ who was ‘trying to help’ her get better at her craft, she told Kannan, “If he was not there on that show, voh show pe maza hi nahi aata( it would not have been fun). Like I told you, Hindi main tabhi bhi seekh rahi thi, mera tuition tab bhi chal raha tha. He is the one jisne mujhe bola, Krystle, we will not speak in English aaj se. Aaj se hum roz Hindi mein hi baat karenge. From the time you come to set, till the time you are in front of me, we will speak in Hindi. He wanted to help me, he wanted to make me better at what I do. Mai chahta huin ki tu aone skill ko brushup karein, tu better bane. And, he really helped me as an actor, as a human being in so many ways.("If he wasn't there on that show, it wouldn't have been fun. Like I told you, I was still learning Hindi at that time; my tuition was still going on. He was the one who told me, 'Krystle, we will not speak in English from today. From now on, we will talk in Hindi every day.' From the moment you come to the set until you're in front of me, we will speak in Hindi. He wanted to help me; he wanted to make me better at what I do. I want you to brush up on your skills and become better. And he really helped me as an actor and as a human being in so many ways.")

"I owe a lot of my Hindi to him as well," Krystle added, " What a gem of a human, of a guy.... I used to call him Susu."

On being asked, if he did not mind, " she added, " What a sport he was. He did not mind anything at all. What a full of life guy."

Krystle is a well-known face on Hindi TV with having worked in the industry for over 17 years. She also has several TV shows to her credit and her association with Ektaa Kapoor has been long.
