India Break Series Of Records With Emphatic Win In 2nd Test Vs Bangladesh

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal was awarded the Player of the Match for scoring two fifties in the 2nd Test match, and in the process, became the first-ever Indian batsman to register half-centuries in less than 50 balls in both innings of a single Test match.

2. This was not the only record Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to break, as he now surpasses one of the all-time greats Sunil Gavaskar for most Test runs scored by an Indian cricketer in a calendar year before the age of 23. The left-handed batsman has scored 929 runs in 2024 compared to 918 of the Indian legend back in 1971.

3. India have now extended their historic Test series-winning streak at home to 18 with their latest 2-0 win against Bangladesh. Have a look at the all-time longest winning streaks:
