Silver Gold Price Update: The prices of gold and silver have increased today (October 1). According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 200 to Rs 75,397, whereas earlier it was Rs 75,197 per 10 grams.

There has also been a rise in the price of silver today. It has increased by Rs 838 to Rs 90,238 per kg, whereas earlier silver was at Rs 89,400. This year, silver had touched its all-time high of Rs 94,280 per kg on May 29, while gold had hit an all-time high of Rs 75,750 on September 26.

– Delhi: 10 grams of 22 carat gold – Rs 70,650, 24 carat – Rs 77,060

– Mumbai: 10 grams of 22 carat gold – Rs 70,500, 24 carat – Rs 76,910

Keep these 3 things in mind while buying gold:

1. Buy only certified gold: Always choose certified gold with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmark. There is a 6 digit hallmark code on gold, which is called HUID.

2. Cross checking the price: Check the exact price and weight of gold on the day of purchase from multiple sources (like IBJA website).
