In the famous Mangesh Yadav encounter case of Uttar Pradesh, a case has been filed in Jaunpur court against Sultanpur SP, STF in-charge, and many other policemen. Deceased Mangesh's mother Sheela Devi has filed a petition in the court alleging that her son was murdered through conspiracy. The court has registered a case on Sheela Devi's petition and has also summoned a report from the Bakhsha police station in charge and fixed October 11 as the next date.

In the case of robbery at a jeweler's shop in Sultanpur, the police killed the accused Mangesh Yadav in an encounter on September 5. After Mangesh's encounter, the political temperature in the state increased. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav also called Mangesh's encounter fake and demanded a fair investigation and action against the guilty policemen.

Mangesh Yadav, the accused of robbery who was killed in the encounter, was a resident of village Agaraura in Baksha police station area of ​​Jaunpur district. His mother Sheela Devi has filed an application in CJM Court, Jaunpur through her advocates Samar Bahadur Yadav and Rishi Yadav. She alleges that the SP of Sultanpur, STF in-charge DK Shahi and his team, the then SHO of Dehat Kotwali Sultanpur and his team, as well as the police team of Baksha police station of Jaunpur and many other unknown policemen, conspired and killed her son by taking him away from home.

In the petition filed in the court, Sheela Devi alleged that four policemen came to her door at 2 o'clock on the night of 2 September 2024. At that time her son Mangesh was sleeping. The policemen woke up Mangesh Yadav and started taking him away. Sheela Devi says that when she asked, the policemen told her that they were taking Mangesh for questioning and would release him after questioning.

It is alleged that on September 3 and 4, policemen from Buksa police station came to her house at night made a video, and forced her to say that her son had not been at home for three months. After this, on September 5, police from Buksa police station came and told her to go to Sultanpur's post-mortem house and bring the body of her son Mangesh. She was stunned to hear all this.

Accused of murder after taking away from home, PM report was not given.

In the petition given to the court, Sheela Devi said that after her son was taken away from her home and murdered, even his postmortem report has not been given to her to date, even though she had deposited a fee of Rs. 100 for it. On asking for the postmortem report, she was told that the SP had refused to give it. Sheela Devi said that the encounter is being investigated by Lambhua SDM. She was called for a statement by giving notice. When she asked for the postmortem report by sending family members, it was refused. Sheela Devi said in the court that to date no action has been taken against the policemen who murdered her son, nor has she been given the postmortem report.

What was the whole matter?

On 28th August, robbers carried out a robbery in broad daylight at the jewelry showroom of Bharat Ji Soni, a resident of Chowk Thatheri Bazar, Sultanpur City, Uttar Pradesh. 12 miscreants had looted jewelry and cash worth Rs. 1.35 crore from the showroom. All the miscreants had carried out the robbery by dividing themselves into three groups as per a plan. On the night of 2nd September, the police surrounded the place and arrested three miscreants.

Police had recovered about 15 kg of silver jewelry, cash worth Rs. 38,500, a stolen bike, three illegal pistols, three cartridges, and six shells from them. While the gang leader involved in the robbery, Vipin Singh had surrendered in another case in Raebareli court. On 5th September, the police killed the accused of robbery, Mangesh Yadav, in an encounter. After this, the accused of robbery, Anuj Pratap Singh, was killed by the police on 23rd September.
