After a day of observation, he underwent a non-surgical procedure on October 1 to address an issue with the main blood vessel in his heart, according to PTI. A stent was inserted to seal a swelling, as reported by the hospital treating him. He is stable now and will be discharged in 2 days. Rajinikanth had a similar health checkup at the same hospital in December 2020.
