Delhi: The fourth day of the second match of the Test series being played between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur was full of many records. Team India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja completed 300 wickets in his Test career. Jadeja achieved this feat in just 74 Test matches, and also joined the list of select players who have more than 3000 runs and 300 wickets in their names in red-ball cricket. On this brilliant achievement of Jaddu, India's chief bowling coach Morne Morkel has praised him and described him as a 'complete player'.

Speaking to the media, 39-year-old Morkel said, “He is a player whom you would always want to keep in your team. Jadeja's batting, bowling and fielding abilities make him a match winner. He has been performing brilliantly in international cricket for the last several years.”

Former South African fast bowler further said, “Jadeja is a player who never shies away from hard work and this is what you want to see in any player.”

Along with this, Morkel also praised the pair of Ravichandran Ashwin and Jadeja. He said, “When these two bowlers bowl together, it becomes difficult for the batsmen to score runs, which increases the chances of wickets falling. “Both together are adept at creating pressure, which benefits the team.”

Ashwin gave initial blow to Bangladesh on the fourth day of Kanpur Test.

Whereas, if we talk about Kanpur Test, Bangladesh scored 233 runs in its first innings with the help of star batsman Mominul Haq's century, while Team India declared its innings on the score of 285/9. By the end of the fourth day's play, Bangladesh lost two wickets for 26 runs and the visiting team is still 26 runs behind India's score. Ashwin took both the wickets. In such a situation, if Morkel's statement is to be believed, the pair of Ashwin and Jadeja can soon defeat the Bangladeshi team on the fifth day of the Test, which will help India win the Test.
