Tel Aviv: A missile fired by Iran during a barrage last night landed near the Tel Aviv headquarters of Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad. Social media videos have emerged showing a large crater at the site of the strike, which has been geolocated by CNN to a high-rise apartment building in Herzliya, located less than 3 kilometres from Mossad's headquarters.

This missile attack was launched in retaliation for the recent Israeli military strikes that killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Iran had made a "big mistake" and warned that it "will pay for it."Guy Nir, spokesperson for the Israeli embassy in India, emphasized that any attempt by Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to initiate a full-scale war would be a miscalculation. "Israel's response is going to be strategic and pinpointed, not a full-scale war. I don't think any side wants that," he told NDTV.In response, Iran's Ambassador to India, Iraj Elahi, cautioned that Tehran would strike Israel again if tensions do not de-escalate. "If the Hitler of our time (Netanyahu) stops his brutality and hostility, his country won't have to face the consequences," Elahi warned. The United States, Israel's key ally, has also reacted strongly, characterising the missile strike as a "significant escalation." National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan reaffirmed U.S. support for Israel and pledged assistance for any retaliatory measures that may follow.
