Navratri 2024: There is a special tradition of worshiping Goddess Kushmanda on the fourth day of Navratri. This time, by worshiping this form of the Goddess on 6th October, you can get special benefits and prosperity in your life.

Maa Kushmanda is an important form of Navadurga. Who is also known as the goddess who originated the universe. Kushmanda means the one living within the egg and it is believed that she created the universe with her smile. Maa Kushmanda, riding on a lion, is an 8-armed goddess who holds a bow, arrow, lotus, nectar pot and Varamudra in her right hands. While in his left hands he holds Chakra Gada and Abhaya Mudra.

Worship of Mother Kushmanda (Navratri 2024)

The right time and auspicious time of Navratri puja holds special importance, because it ensures that the puja gets fruitful results. Today is the fourth day of Navratri and on this day it is important to take care of the special time for worship. The auspicious time of puja on the fourth day of Navratri starts after sunrise and is considered especially auspicious for Durga Puja.

The best time to worship on this day will be from 6:00 to 8:00 in the morning. The time of Rahukaal is a symbol of negative energy. Any auspicious work should be avoided at this time. Today Rahukaal time will be from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Avoid worshiping during this time so that your worship can be successful and fruitful.

Worship Mother Kushmanda Rules

Mother Kushmanda is especially worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri. When devotees offer kumkum, fruits, flowers, sweets etc. The mantra of Maa Kushmanda is Om Devi Kushmandayai Namah. Chanting which brings positive energy, health and prosperity.

Start the puja by taking bath and wearing clean clothes. Clean the puja room and calm the atmosphere there. Install the idol of Mata on a clean platform and offer her flowers, fruits, sweets, incense sticks etc.

After this chant the mantra of Maa Kushmanda. Offer Ashtagandha to them and apply vermilion tilak on their forehead. Offer fruits as bhog. At the end of the puja, perform Aarti of Goddess Kushmanda. While worshiping, keep your mind concentrated and do not make any kind of noise or dispute. After the puja, distribute Prasad, so that everyone can get the blessings of the Mother.
