That means Umran Malik will not be able to play in the initial matches of Ranji Trophy and this is a big blow for the Jammu and Kashmir team. This news has come just 5 days before the start of Ranji Trophy season. The first phase of the tournament will start from October 11. If Umran remains out of the field for 6 weeks, then due to this he will not be able to play in the first 5 matches of the group stage of the tournament.
This time Ranji Trophy is being organized in two different phases, in which the first phase will start from October 11 and the last matches of this phase will start on November 13. During this period, each team will play 5-5 matches in its respective group. After this, the second phase will start from January 23, in which two group stage matches and then the knock out round will be played. In such a situation, Jammu and Kashmir and Umran will only hope that they can take part in the matches starting from next January.
