Cash Deposit Limit: The Modi government has taken several steps to curb black money and tax evasion. One of these is the rule of depositing cash in banks. The government is trying to reduce cash transactions as much as possible so that all transactions can be monitored.

After the government's order, the country's top 5 government and private banks have made a rule for depositing money in cash. More amounts than this cannot be deposited. If you want to deposit more money, then you will have to resort to a digital route or cheque. This order has been issued to reduce the cash limit so that every transaction can be fully monitored.

The limit for depositing cash in the country's largest bank SBI is Rs 49,999. You can deposit this much money without a PAN card or debit card. If your account is linked to PAN and you have deposited PAN in the bank, then you can deposit up to Rs 2 lakh in cash at one time.

The limit for depositing cash in the country's second-largest Bank of Baroda is the same as SBI. If you do not have a PAN and are depositing without a debit card, then only Rs 49,999 can be deposited. At the same time, with PAN you can deposit up to Rs 2 lakh in cash at once. If we talk about the cardless limit, then only Rs 20,000 can be deposited in a day.

The limit for depositing cash in the third largest government bank PNB is also very low. Here you can deposit Rs 1 lakh or 200 notes at a time through the cash machine. Yes, only if your PAN is linked, then one lakh rupees can be deposited at a time, if it is not so, then only up to Rs 49,999 can be deposited at a time.

Talking about the country's largest private bank HDFC, here the limit for withdrawing money from the savings account is Rs 25,000 and the daily deposit limit is Rs 2 lakh. You can withdraw Rs 1 lakh in a day from a current account and the deposit limit is Rs 6 lakh. If you want to make a card-based deposit, you can also deposit up to Rs 1 lakh in a savings account. The daily limit with a card is Rs 2 lakh in a savings account and Rs 6 lakh in a current account.

In another government bank of the country, Union Bank of India, the limit for cash deposits is Rs 49,999 without a card and Rs 1 lakh with PAN. The thing to be kept in mind is that if the bank's cash deposit machine detects a fake note, it will not be returned to the depositor.
