Jaipur:- There is good news for girls studying in government schools. Girls studying in government schools will be given financial assistance by the Balika Shiksha Foundation. Balika Shiksha Foundation has sought applications to provide financial assistance under the Aapki Beti Yojana. The foundation has sought a list of girl students from government schools by 31 October. Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 2100 is given to girl students up to 8th class and Rs 2500 is given to girl students from 9th to 12th class. The first priority will be given to those girl students of BPL families, whose both or one of the parents has passed away. The second priority will include girls from BPL families and the third priority will include such girls, whose both or one of the parents has passed away and the annual income of the family is less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
The last date for verification is 31 October
. The last date for schools to verify the information of eligible students is 31 October. Apart from this, the last date for verification of applications from the District Education Officer Headquarters is 15 November. Tejpal Mund, Secretary of Balika Shiksha Foundation, told Local 18 that it is mandatory for the students to authenticate their Janadhaar number on the Shala Darpan portal to avail the benefits of this scheme. The incentive amount will be transferred directly to the bank account linked to Janadhaar.
The objective of the Balika Shiksha Foundation is to promote
girl education. Here, the government undertaking provides financial assistance to economically backward girls. Through this, schemes like Mukhyamantri Hamari Betiyan Yojana, Graduate Level Education Facility Scheme abroad, Balika Protsahan (for class 12th), Gargi Award, Aapki Beti Yojana, Economic Strength Award for physically disabled girls etc. are run.
