According to a report, the chief priest there told that there is a reason behind why Goddess Durga is seated here with two arms. It is said that years ago the queen there had fainted after seeing the form of the ten-armed mother present in Durgabari. After this he was safely taken to the palace. When the queen regained consciousness, the only thought in her mind was why this happened. That night he fell asleep very early and had a dream, after seeing that dream he understood that this was the mother's message to him that from next year onwards, the idol of Durga with ten arms would be replaced in that temple. A statue with two arms should be installed. From that time till today this form of Mother is worshiped in this temple.

Many types of sacred rituals are performed in this temple. According to a long-standing tradition, the idol of Maa Durga is taken to the palace, where the descendants of the kings ritually start the immersion journey of the mother and before the immersion, various religious rituals are performed.
