On Monday, October 7, early trading saw a decrease in the shares of Ola Electric Mobility. For the first time since their debut, the shares dropped below Rs 90. The shares had a notable decline of around 9.54% today, reaching a low of Rs 89.55 per share, according to the Live Mint report. From the stock’s all-time high of Rs 157.40, hit in mid-August, the decline led to a 43% correction.

Bhavish Aggarwal, the co-founder and CEO of Ola Electric Mobility, and stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra engaged in a heated online spat on social media when Kamra criticized the firm for lacking sufficient service centers and failing to reimburse impacted consumers.

When Ola Electric scooters were stacked up outside of its service centers, seemingly waiting for maintenance, Kamra posted a photo, which sparked the dispute. In response, Aggarwal tweeted, “Kunal Kamra, come and help us out, since you care so much!” accusing Kamra of accepting payment to criticize the firm. I’ll even give you more money than you made from your botched comedic career or from this sponsored tweet.”

“Chauhary banne chale, comedian ban na sake.” Next time, do better research. We still welcome you to visit our service center and provide a hand. Accept the challenge. “Perhaps you’ll pick up some actual skills for once,” Bhavish Aggarwal said in response to Kamra on X.

In retaliation, Kamra called the CEO haughty, to which Aggarwal retorted, “Chot lagi? Hua dard? Service center Aaja. Bahut kaam aye. “I’ll pay you more than your failed shows will,” the comic said, putting up a fight to work at Ola’s service center.

The CEO of Ola Electric and Kunal Kamra resumed their acrimonious spat. The CEO of the company did not address service delays and unsolved problems during his encounters with Kamra, despite the company apparently receiving over 80,000 complaints each month. X users judged Agarwal’s tone and criticized his actions.

In September, the business sold 23,965 units, its lowest sales total for 2024. This was the second month in a row of declines. In the face of competition, Ola Electric is aggressively marketing its S1 type of electric scooters in India.
