Such “justice” is more prevalent, particularly when it comes to disciplining harassing women. A video of a guy being publicly pummeled over sexual harassment claims surfaced from Mangalore, Karnataka, adding yet another incidence similar to the list.

In front of a store, the video showed a group of ladies violently approaching the aforementioned guy, a shopkeeper. The ladies both kept shouting at him and repeatedly smacked the male. The shopkeeper was reportedly harassing a lady by making obscene late-night calls, according to the viral footage. Concurrently, the incident’s date could not be verified.

Reactions to the video were divided when it went viral. While some thought the man’s abuse was “befitting” and appropriate, others criticized the ladies for enforcing their own rules and recommended turning him over to the police.

The account karnatakaportf published the Mangalore video on X, which was once Twitter. “A young man was slapped by a group of women after being accused of harassing a young woman by making an inappropriate video call late at night,” the post’s description said. The event happened in Koolur, Mangalore. The guy allegedly acted harshly throughout the phone and works at a nearby basic shop. Debates over harassment and the handling of the matter arose after the encounter was caught on camera. After being posted yesterday, the video has received over 16,000 views.
