Voting for the Haryana Assembly elections was held on October 5. After this the results are going to come today. Counting of votes will start on all 90 seats from 8 am. Panchkula Assembly seat of Haryana came into existence for the first time in 2009. Congress Party candidate Devendra Kumar Bansal had won here in the 2009 elections. After this this seat went to BJP and BJP has been winning this seat for the last two times. Now it remains to be seen what the election results are going to be this time.

In the exit polls regarding Haryana Assembly elections, Congress has been seen forming the government with full majority. It has been estimated for Congress that it can win 50-55 out of 90 seats in the state. At the same time, the ruling BJP may have to be satisfied with only 20-25 seats. However, these are only estimates, the final results will be out today.

BJP has a chance for a hat-trick

BJP has a chance to score a hat-trick on Panchkula assembly seat. On the other hand, opposition parties including Congress are hopeful of changing the equation on this seat. BJP has made Gyan Chandra Gupta its candidate from here. Whereas, Congress has given ticket to Chandra Mohan. Sushil Garg from JJP and Kshitij Chaudhary from INLD are in the fray.

Talking about the 2019 assembly elections, even then BJP had fielded Gyan Chandra Gupta from here. Then Gupta was successful in making BJP win for the second time. Before this, Gupta was also the BJP candidate in the 2014 assembly elections. Even at that time, Gupta had lived up to the expectations of the party and led it to victory. This was the period when there was Modi wave in the country.

In the last election, BJP candidate got 61537 votes on this seat. Whereas, Chandra Kumar of Congress had secured 55,904 votes. There was not much difference between victory and defeat. Talking about vote percentage, BJP candidate got 48.84 percent votes and Congress candidate got 44.37 percent votes.

What do the figures of 2014 elections say?

At the same time, in the 2014 elections, BJP's Gyan Chand Gupta got 69,916 votes. INLD candidate Bhushan Goyal got 25314 votes. Whereas, Congress Party candidate Devendra Kumar Bansal was at third position. He got 15564 votes. In 2019, Congress was successful in increasing its vote percentage as compared to 2014.
