Aadya Shaktipeeth temple is situated near the Gandak river. Here Mata is worshiped in the form of Gandak, it is said that the place where Mata's left cheek had fallen. The second Shaktipeeth is Guheshwari Shaktipeeth, a short distance away from Pashupatinath temple. Mother Sati's knees had fallen at this place.
