But as soon as this film was released, it proved to be a huge flop at the box office and Ratan Tata lost crores of rupees by investing money in the first film.

But Ratan Tata had spent about Rs 9.50 crore in making this film. 'Aitbar', released in 1996, was inspired by the American movie 'Fear'.
