Leaving a vacuum in the hearts of his supporters, Ratan Naval Tata passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where he was getting treatment for a protracted illness.

If individuals’ own experiences and introspection serve as any indication, they not only looked up to him but also lived by what one post refers to as “Ratan Tata’s golden words.”

Be bold when it comes to four things:

Old clothing, because your style does not necessarily define who you are.

Bad buddies because friendships don’t have a status.

Your current self is a direct result of your elder parents.

simple lifestyle, as looks don’t always translate into success.

Tata Ratan.

It’s questionable if the phrase is really credited to Tata, but it doesn’t seem that different from the sort of life he lived.

Tata eschewed the kind of clothes that are often associated with the aristocracy and instead donned basic garments.

Despite hailing from one of India’s most prosperous business houses, he had a varied group of acquaintances from all walks of life.

In addition, Tata had valued his bond with his parents, honoring their sacrifices and looking to them for direction throughout his life.

He didn’t lead an ostentatious lifestyle; he valued simplicity above ostentation.
