The case is from the Kukudakhandi area of ​​Brahmapur Sadar police station area. Here a 20-year-old girl could not tolerate the torture of her father and stepmother. She sprinkled petrol on herself in the middle of the road and set herself on fire. The girl died later. Police have taken the accused father and stepmother into custody in the case. Further action is underway against them.

According to the information, when Rani Pradhan was three years old, her mother died. Her father then married another woman and brought her home. But both of them tortured Rani so much that she thought it better to embrace death. On Monday afternoon, Rani came to the Panchayat Samiti office. There she sprinkled petrol on herself and set herself on fire. Due to this, she started burning. The people nearby immediately took Rani to MKCG Medical Hospital. But she was 90 percent burnt. Due to this, she died. The video of the student setting herself on fire has also gone viral on social media.

Superintendent of Police Sarvana Vivek M said- We have detained the girl's father and stepmother for questioning. The real cause will be known only after questioning her father and other relatives. At present, a case of unnatural death has been registered and the investigation is going on.
