This can be controlled only with a healthy diet and exercise. In diabetes, the pancreas produces less insulin, a hormone that regulates blood sugar, increasing the risk of many health problems.

How to control diabetes?

According to doctors, to control diabetes, you should make a plan for the whole day. Here we tell you what your daily routine should be like from morning till night to control diabetes.

Wake up early in the morning and check your blood sugar:

People suffering from diabetes should wake up early in the morning and take adequate rest. A diabetic patient should check his blood sugar level first thing in the morning. This lets them know what their blood sugar level is and how much insulin they need to take.

Exercise for 30 minutes:

Physical activity is important to manage sugar, so you should exercise for at least 30 minutes every morning. You can go for a walk, do yoga or participate in some other physical activity.

Healthy snack after medicine:

A diabetic patient should eat a healthy breakfast that includes complex carbohydrates, fiber and protein. Have whole-grain toast with an egg or a bowl of oatmeal with some fruit. If the patient is taking any medication, it should be taken as prescribed by the doctor.

Check blood sugar after meals:

You should monitor your blood sugar throughout the day, especially after meals. This helps them adjust their insulin dose and manage their blood sugar. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Eat small amounts frequently each day:

Diabetic patients should eat small and frequent meals instead of three large meals a day. It helps maintain blood sugar levels and prevents sudden increases or decreases. You can eat fruits, nuts and vegetables throughout the day. You should avoid high-carb and high-sugar snacks like cookies, cakes and candies. A diabetic patient should remain active throughout the day by taking short walks, climbing stairs or doing some stretching exercises.

Eat a balanced diet at night:

Dinner should include lean proteins, complex carbohydrates and vegetables. You can eat boiled chicken and steamed vegetables with brown rice. It is important to monitor blood sugar after meals. Take the medicine prescribed by your doctor after eating.

Meditate before sleeping:

Do relaxation meditation or breathing exercises before bed. It helps relieve stress and get better sleep. To keep blood sugar under control, you should sleep for at least 8 hours a day.
