The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date of class 10th, and 12th practical exams for schools starting in winter. Students who are going to appear for class 10th and 12th board exams this time can visit the official website and see the notice. In the notice, CBSE announced that practical exams and internal assessments for classes 10, and 12 in winter schools will be conducted from November 5 to December 5 as these schools will be closed in January 2025. Also, internal exams for all other schools will be conducted from January 1, 2025.

What was said in the notice?

CBSE said in an official notification, "As per the provisions of the Examination Bye-laws/Study Scheme of the Board, practical examinations/projects/internal assessments for the session 2024-25 are scheduled from 1st January 2025 for all affiliated schools in India and abroad. However, schools going into winter are expected to remain closed during January due to the winter season." Accordingly, Practical Examinations/Projects/Internal Assessments for the session 2024-25 for Classes X and XII for schools going into winter session will be conducted from 5th November 2024 (Tuesday) to 5th December 2024 (Thursday)."

The Board has issued SOPs and guidelines for conducting practical exams for all schools, including uploading of marks, appointment of external examiner, unfair means, answer sheet for practicals, procedure for conducting exams, etc.

CBSE Practical Exams 2025: Instructions for Schools

The Board has asked schools to take the following actions to complete the practical exams on time after the winter session:

Prepare the final list of candidates and ensure that no student of the school whose name has not been submitted in the online LOC to the Board is allowed to appear in these practical exams, projects or internal assessments.

Contact the Regional Office for appointment of external examiners and supervisors Ensure timely completion of examinations and send the answer sheets of practical examination to the regional offices. CBSE further said that these dates and instructions are only for winter session schools and will not apply to regular session schools. A separate notification will be issued for regular schools.
