One of the many benefits that internet behemoth Alphabet offers its staff members is free lunches for all of them. According to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, giving out free lunches to staff members encouraged innovation and conversation among coworkers about fresh concepts.

He related one of his experiences when he spoke at “The David Rubenstein Show: Peer to Peer Conversations,” explaining how his creative ideas and inventions flourished in the casual settings of cafés. His ability to generate ideas in places like these cafés is largely responsible for many of his creative ideas.

According to Pichai, offering such incentives to staff members may greatly enhance the office environment by making the company’s ecosystem more welcoming to workers. Approximately 90% of workers who get a job offer from the organization accept it right away, proving this. On the program, Rubenstein said that Google employs more than 1,82,000 people.

Free meals are only one aspect of an employee’s benefits package; others include paid time off and extensive health care. The employer offers health insurance to its staff members, covering medical, dental, and vision costs. In order to ensure that its workers are in good physical and mental health, they also provide wellness initiatives and on-site workout facilities. In addition, the workers get paid holidays, vacation time, and parental leave.

The business also considers the financial well-being of its staff. It offers assistance for financial planning, excellent pay packages, and alluring retirement plans. Pichai also discussed the company’s policy of accommodating workers’ preferred modes of operation. As long as workers are productive, it permits flexible work schedules and the opportunity to work from home.

But applying to work at this firm is a difficult process. The firm is looking for innovative software developers who can “apply themselves into new situations and do well,” Pichai said. According to the CEO, the firm is looking for software engineers who are not only technically skilled but also eager to learn new things and advance both personally and professionally.
