Badshah will be joining Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani as a judge at the singing-based reality show Indian Idol 15. As the show was set to go on air, a promo was released where the rapper was showcasing his rapping skills and was later joined by Shreya and Vishal. However, the lyrics seemingly didn't go down well with Yo Yo Honey Singh. Yo Yo Honey Singh takes a sly dig at Badshah Sharing the promo on his Instagram Stories, Honey Singh wrote, "Aise lyrics likhwane hai bass taqdeer ban jayegi meri," followed by a laughing emoticon. Badshah is yet to react at Singh's dig. For the unversed, the rift between Badshah and Honey traces back to their shared history as members of the Mafia Mundeer band, alongside rapper Raftaar. Despite their past collaboration, the dissolution of the group created a divide between them with the artists rarely seen together thereafter. Speculation intensified when Badshah's 2023 release, Gone Girl, featured a line which many interpreted as a jab at Honey Singh's highly publicised comeback album, Honey 3.0. The lyric, "Kuch logo ka comeback hi nahi ho raha," hinted at unresolved beef between the duo. Honey Singh responds to Badshah's 'comeback' jibe Reacting to the same, Honey Singh said his fans are enough to discuss anything and that he does not need to respond to Badshah directly. The Ye Ladki Pagal Hai crooner was then heard remarking, "Ek pen aur paper dena. Gift laaya hu tumhare liye. Kuch lyrics likh ke de deta hu. Papa ka comeback ho jaayega tumhare" during his concert in March.
