A viral has taken by storm after claiming to unveil your deepest traits.

The image is said to offer insights in just a couple of seconds, including whether you're fiercely independent or guided by a strong intuition. The visual test, one of many posted by the content creator Mia Yilin on TikTok, has intrigued viewers as she asked "What's the first thing you see in this picture?". There are two possible choices, and which one appears first to you will decide what kind of person you are. Check out the image she's talking about below.

There are two different things that people can see in the image - a man’s face with black swooshed hair, and the side angle of a black and white penguin with a blue background. Depending on whether you spot the man or penguin initially, Mia suggests it uncovers deep truths about your character.

Those who glimpse the penguin straight away are said to be free spirits longing for independence and self-direction, and who thrive most when they are pursuing their passions. However, such individuals might grapple with self-doubt and crave external approval, potentially undermining their instincts. She added: "Sometimes you come across as a bit aloof. You thrive when you have the space to pursue your own interests and goals."

If you saw the man, you are said to have a "sixth sense" and an intuition that is "off the charts". However, she cautioned: “But at the same time, you often doubt yourself and seek validation from others, causing you to second-guess your own instincts,”

With over half a million views, the video has drawn a huge reaction from fascinated internet users, many who seemed to spot the penguin first. Others compared it to the classic Rorschach test, where participants interpret a series of inkblots on paper and asking them to describe what they see in each one. These are no longer used in professional psychiatry, but were used up until the 1960s to help diagnose psychological disorders.
