Speaking at an event commemorating the anniversary, Shankaracharya said, “Strong leadership is a major reason for the amazing gains our country is making. Having a terrific leader like Prime Minister Modi among us is a gift from God, and God is using him to do many wonderful things.”

Modi considered Varanasi’s historical and cultural importance while highlighting the city’s rising stature as a centre for healthcare. “Kashi has been the capital of tradition and culture since the beginning of the universe,” he said, adding that Varanasi, which goes by the name Kashi, is now becoming well-known for its cutting-edge medical facilities.

The hospital is anticipated to help people living in 20 districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh as well as those who live nearby in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, according to individuals connected to the Kanchi Math. Additionally, under the regional connectivity plan (RCS)-ude desh ka aam nagrik (UDAN), the Prime Minister dedicated new terminal buildings at Rewa Airport, Maa Mahamaya Airport in Ambikapur, and Sarsawa Airport. Together, these facilities have a combined worth of approximately Rs 220 crore. Modi essentially laid the groundwork for the Rs 1,550 crore Bagdogra Airport project, which is located in northern West Bengal, close to Siliguri.
