Speaking at the opening event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shankaracharya Jagadguru Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetha, Adityanath complimented the Shankar Eye Foundation and Jagadguru Shankaracharya on their journey from Kanchipuram to Kashi.

An important milestone has been reached with the opening of Sankara Eye Hospital’s second location in Uttar Pradesh. Under the direction of the esteemed Shankaracharya, the Sankara Eye Foundation has been spearheading this campaign since 1977, giving people all throughout the nation hope and sight, according to Adityanath. The organization is well-known for its work to restore eyesight and change lives.

He said, “Kashi has had a transformative decade of development, setting new benchmarks in healthcare and education under the inspiration, guidance, and leadership of Prime Minister Modi.”

“Many development and service projects have been launched in the sacred land of Baba Vishwanath, with investments in the health sector amounting to Rs 2,500 crores,” the speaker said.

“Key projects include the building of the 150-bed super speciality block at ESIC Hospital, the 430-bed super specialty hospital in Kashi, the 100-bed MCH wing at Sir Sunder Lal Hospital in BHU, and the Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Hospital and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital,” Adityanath said.

Along with the completion of major healthcare projects in Kashi, the chief minister also announced the opening of a 100-bed maternity wing at the District Women’s Hospital in Kabir Chaura and the renovation of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Government Hospital, Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, and Shivprasad Gupta Divisional Hospital.

A new RJ Sankara Eye Hospital facility is being opened to significantly improve healthcare services in the area. It will function as a significant healthcare center, serving the requirements of people living in Kashi, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. He emphasized that Uttar Pradesh has made tremendous advancements in healthcare over the last ten years that are comparable to Kashi’s achievements.
