Anthony Crolla believes delivering a knockout blow to would "make a lot of people in boxing happy".

Paul and boxing legend Tyson inches closer, . The bout is slotted for November 15 at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas and will see the heavyweights go toe-to-toe in an officially sanctioned professional bout.

Paul, no stranger to controversy, has continued to draw ire since locking in the heavyweight showdownespecially after his veteran adversary had to bow out from their initially scheduled bout due to an ulcer flare-up. Tyson last stepped into the ring professionally in 2005, ending in a loss to Kevin McBride.

Meanwhile, 'The Problem Child' Jake Paul, 27, has been active since his 2020 debut. He boasts victories over notable figures such as Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz.

His sole stumble in the squared circle emerged via a points defeat to Tommy Fury last year. Nonetheless, Paul rides into the fray with Tyson on the heels of a vicious knockout victory against ex-UFC welterweight challenger Mike Perry earlier this year.

Speaking to Freebets.com, Crolla voiced his thoughts on the forthcoming titanic clash in the heavyweight arena. Although the 37-year-old has lauded Paul for his efforts, he couldn't help but question the wisdom behind setting up a fight with such a considerable age disparity.

Nevertheless, the ex-world boxing champion is of the opinion that 'Iron Mike' stands a chance to delight many in the boxing community if he manages to triumph. "I think it's a bit dangerous, we don't know what kind of place Mike Tyson will be in." he said. "He looked great in the exhibition with Roy Jones Jr. But Jake Paul could never lace Mike's gloves when anywhere near his best.

"He shouldn't be anywhere near him (Tyson). One thing about Jake Paul is he does train like a boxer. He puts the effort in and there's no denying the improvements. But I think it's so hard to predict, because I don't know what Mike Tyson has left.

"He could go in there and blow him away in a round or so. Jake Paul has improved, Mike Tyson's age - it's a mad one. It's hard to even make sense of it, Mike's approaching 60! It's going to be either horrendous viewing or Mike Tyson would walk through him, and I'd think he'd make a lot of people in boxing happy."

While Paul is taking his upcoming bout with the boxing legend seriously, Crolla has sensationally claimed 'The Problem Child' wouldn't be too troubled about being knocked out by the icon, stating: "Yep, he probably wouldn't mind becoming a GIF or reel. The fight against Tommy I was more impressed with Jake than Tommy that day, even though I do believe Tommy just nicked it. But Jake is trying his best, having proper training camps."

As the showdown with Tyson draws closer, Paul has disclosed spending countless hours reviewing the veteran's past fights, assessing the strategy Tyson might employ against him. Paul revealed his approach, saying: "To just box on the outside and then use my footwork to be more agile and get him chasing me and then attack him when he's out of position. That should frustrate him."
