Mumbai's famous Khar Gymkhana Club has made serious allegations against Team India's star women cricketer Jemima Rodrigues' father Ivan. Khar Gymkhana Club decided to cancel Jemima's membership in its annual meeting. Club president Vivek Devnani has also confirmed the action taken against the Indian cricketer. According to the Indian Express report, she was given honorary membership for 3 years. After a consensus was reached in the meeting, this action was taken by passing a resolution. Club managing committee member Shiv Malhotra revealed that Jemima's father Ivan was associated with an organization named Brother Manuel Ministries.
Jemima's father had booked the Presidential Hall for about one and a half years. During this time, he organized 35 events and carried out many religious activities including religious conversion. He further said 'We hear about religious conversions happening across the country. But this work was being done right under our nose. Shiv Malhotra also revealed that according to the rules of Gymkhana, no religious activity is allowed in the club.
Former Gymkhana president Nitin Gadekar said that information about the religious activities happening in the club was received through a staff member there. After this, some people from the club went to the Presidential Hall to investigate it. There they saw that the room was dark and trance music was playing. At the same time, a woman was saying 'He is coming to save us.' All the members were shocked to see all this. After this, everyone opposed it and a decision was taken to cancel the membership.
