Defeating Bangladesh in a Test match at home is not an easy task at all but the South African team seems to be accomplishing that task with ease. On the second day of the first Test being played in Dhaka, South Africa scored 308 runs in the first innings and with this it took a huge lead of 202 runs over Bangladesh. Wicketkeeper Kyle Verenne played a big role in taking South Africa to this strong position, who scored a century in the Dhaka Test at number 7. This century of Kyle Verreynne is special because he is only the third South African wicketkeeper to score a Test century in Asia.

Kyle Verenne created history

Kyle Verenne has created history by scoring a century in Mirpur. He is the first South African wicketkeeper to score a Test century on Bangladeshi soil. Before him, only AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock have scored centuries in Asia. De Villiers scored a Test century in Dubai and De Kock scored a Test century in Visakhapatnam. Both these greats were also not able to score a Test century in Bangladesh.

Kyle Verenne saved the team

You will be surprised to know that at one time South Africa had lost 6 wickets for just 108 runs but after that Kyle Vergne batted amazingly. He made a century partnership with Vian Mulder. Mulder contributed 54 runs. After this, Dan Peet also came at number 10 and played an inning of 32 runs. During this, Kyle Verenne scored the second Test century of his career.
